This spring is constructed from 0.54 mm thick cold worked 301 stainless steel. Because the part has to be elastic, and there must be no fracture in the bottom edge of drawn button, it brings challenge to the tool design and material choosing.

In addition, the part has to be exposed to the open air, so the part after stamping have to be passivated to form a protective film, so as to prevent corrosion.
